New Program Manager
2017-2018 marks LAKV’s 26th year as the premiere leadership program in the Alle-Kiski Valley. It has been our pleasure to be “growing tomorrow’s leaders today,” for 26 years. We are here and strong, ready to begin our 26th year with a brand new Program Manager, Lisa Slongo. Lisa brings over two decades of experience in HR to our program. She is excited to kick off her tenure with LAKV Class XXVI, and to hit the ground running with some new additions to the program.
How is the program changing? Stay tuned to www.lakv.org to find out.
This year’s program will begin with a retreat at the Ligonier Camp and Conference Center in September 2017. Class XXVI will run from September 2017- May 2018, culminating with our Graduation ceremony in mid-May. Elements of the program remaining in tact are the participants’ requirement to shadow/observe a local non-profit board, monthly themes focusing on education, human services, marketing & fundraising, healthcare, government, economic development, law & justice, and the culture and community life of the Alle-Kiski Valley.
The core program remains the same, with exciting new additions throughout. Stay tuned to learn more about those additions. They’ll be talked about on our LAKV Blog page.
Apply today and be a part of LAKV Class XXVI!
